Wendy Volhard Natural Diet Foundation
NDF was the first dehydrated dog food on the market and is based on Wendy Volhard’s Natural Diet recipe developed in 1972 and clinically tested for over 30 years.
During the processing of NDF only moisture is extracted, so that the integrity of the vitamins, minerals and amino acids is maintained, which revitalize when hydrated with water. Herbs have been added to support the liver, kidneys, heart, stomach and the digestive tract of the dog. All you add is yogurt and vegetables to the AM meal and your dog’s favorite meat to the PM meal.
NDF AM & PM give you the flexibility to meet any special dietary needs your dog may have.
NDF AM & PM contain only natural preservatives and should be stored in the refrigerator or freezer after opening.
Original A.M. Porridge
NDF AM Porridge (to which you add vegetables, yogurt, and water) is fed in the morning. It is available in 6-lb (2.7 kg) bags and, together with PM Crumble, should last a 75-lb dog for one month
Original P.M. Crumble

Elec-Tro-Bytes Training Treats
What makes Elec-tro-bytes different and unique in the treat market is that they contain electrolytes. Electrolytes are what cells use to carry nerve impulses across themselves and other cells. Nerve impulses and muscle contractions can only occur properly when the electrolyte concentration is correct in the body. Either through sweating, panting, vomiting or extreme stress, valuable electrolytes are lost. It is why so many dogs suffer from heat prostration and Sporting breeds experience exercise intolerance which causes temporary paralysis. That is why so many sports drinks for humans contain electrolytes. Since we at Volhard Nutrition work our dogs and also exercise them well, we are very aware of the consequences of over heating and over exercising dogs. It was critical to us in thinking about the manufacture of a unique treat that electrolytes be included.
We travel with our dogs and it’s good to know we have a highly palatable tool to use if the dogs get stressed in a new environment, or they are affected by the heat and don’t want to eat. The electrolytes are - salt, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, monosodium phosphate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium sulfate.
